To start treatment, patients with covid who are treated at home are minimally required a lung x-ray, which in most cases is performed at the state medical center known as ‘Dispanceria’ in Tirana, instead of private hospitals where it costs much more.
In the public health service the scan is done only in QSUT but you can go only through emergency calls to the number 127.
Patients with covid-19 from all over Tirana, are oriented to the Dispanseria but in most cases break the quarantine rules for the sick, waiting in line for up to three hours with other patients with or without Covid-19.
When the doctor has doubts, and asks for a more detailed scan to be given by the scoping machine, a device which at the Dispanseria does not work.
This is what patients tell because inside the premises of the public health centre, but the situation can become worse as citizens push each other and no mentioning is made to respect social distance.
