82 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Albania in the last 24 hours, the highest daily figure our country has ever recorded since the beginning of pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry announced that a 37th victim has died as a result of Covid-19.
A 68-year-old patient from Puka passed away, who was suffering from lungs decease and was in a serious condition since few days ago. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the 68-year-old could not survive.
The Ministry says that in view of the situation it is necessary to keep the mask in public places when it is not possible to maintain physical distance.
“We remind you once again that any positively identified case should be self-isolated and that violating the rules by anyone will be considered a risk to the lives and health of others. The virus is still among us and as long as there is no vaccine, citizens need to adapt to the new normality and adapt their behavior by taking care of the strict application of any established rule”, stated the ministry in its declaration.
Meanwhile, today’s cases distribution is as fallows: 28 in Tirana, 18 in Shkodra, 10 in Kruja, 8 in Durres, 7 in Vlora, 3 in Kamza, 2 in Kukes, 2 in Elbasan, 2 in Fier and 1 in Korca and Puka.
