In the last 24 hours 311 tests have been performed which have confirmed 42 positive cases, respectively, 21 in Tirana, 9 in Shkodra, 4 in Durrës, 3 in Kruja, 2 in Lushnje, and 1 case in Puka, Berat and Ura Vajgurore.
The new cases in Kruja were citizens who took part in a funeral ceremony.
Other confirmed cases are also contacts of positive cases, the Ministry of Health informs, adding that many suspected cases are under investigation in Durrës, Berat, Puka, Shkodra.
“The number of cases increased on the last day has put the health system on high alert, but at the same time it is an appeal to all citizens to collaborate in the battle of respecting the rules, maintaining distance from each other, keeping face masks in indoor areas, maintaining personal hygiene and protecting themselves and others in order to limit as much as possible the spread of Covid19 “, it said the ministry’s statement.
Meanwhile, sources for Top Channel suggest that the Technical Committee of Experts is expected to convene today at 15:00 due to the alarming situation, where measures are expected to be taken.
