Health authorities announced today (08.12.2020) that 2532 tests have been performed, including the rapid tests started in the last 24 hours of which 753 citizens resulted positive, 431 of whom in Tirana.
In the last 24 hours, 347 citizens have recovered. The number of hospitalized patients is stable, as in 4 COVID hospitals, 450 patients are being treated, 38 of whom in intensive care.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours, 14 citizens with Sars-Cov2 positive in hospitals have lost their lives. 3 of them were from Tirana, 2 citizens from Elbasan, 2 citizens from Fier, 2 citizens from Berat, 2 citizens from Vlora, 1 citizen from Has, 1 citizen from Kavaja, 1 citizen from Gramsh, who were aged between 53-86 years.
The health authorities urge citizens not to neglect contacting with the family doctor for any signs of illness, and to refer for testing and reimbursement of medicines. If you do not know who your GP is, call the free line 0800 40 40.
