Court of Appeal changed the security measure from arrest in prison to
house arrest for the Fier Prosecutor, Petrit Vukaj, arrested two weeks
ago over corruption charges. The Court argued the decision was taken due
to the bad health of the Fier Prosecutor.

Petrit Vukaj is accused of giving an easier sentence to Elton Xhemali, detained for violating the traffic code with fatal consequences, killing citizen Perparim Bizhga, Chief of the Delvina Police.

Xhemali has intervened through his brouther, Arjan Xhemali and police officer Gazmir Nelollari, who have offered Vukaj 300.000 ALL.

Vukaj asked 2 years in prison for Elton Xhemali but the Court rejected it. The defendant was not happy about that, so they asked their money back.

The Court has left Prosecutor Petrit Vukaj in prison until trial.
