The Court of Appeal has left in prison the Mayor of Kavaja, Elvis
Rroshi, accused of falsifying the self-declaration application based on
the decriminalization law.
The Prosecution has made a request to have Rroshi returned in prison, considering him a danger for the public due to the severe nature of the crimes committed abroad, crimes he ahs failed to mention in the application. The Prosecution also says he may contaminate the evidence if left outside the prison.
The defensive lawyer considered the Prosecution’s arguments unfounded and asked the Court to remove any security measure against the Mayor of Kavaja.
The Criminal College of the Court of Appeal left Rroshi in house arrest, who still remains Mayor.
