Court of Appeal leaves Becchetti’s arrest measure in activities

The Court of Appeal in Tirana has left in act the arest measure against
the Italian businessman, Francesco Becchetti, and his partner, Mauro De
Renzi, accused of power abuse, theft, plotting fraudulent schemes, money
laundering, tax evasion and smuggling.
Becchetti and Der Renzi are both on the run, but the Court of Appeal has reviewed the request of their lawyers for changing the security measure.
After hearing the claims of bot parties, the Court of Appeal decided to not change the arrest measure.
