The Tirana court has imposed today the security measure of imprisonment for the officer who killed the 25-year-old, Klodian Rasha. Officer Nevaldo Hajdaraj expressed regret during today’s session while requesting to apologize that the victim’s family.
“I want to apologize. I have taken a human life, take any kind of action against me. I repent”, the 31-year-old policeman is said to have said.
Three days ago at midnight curfew, the police officer shot dead youngster Klodian Rasha.
After this event, a wave of protests erupted in Tirana and several cities in Albania.
From yesterday’s protests held in Lezha, Bulqiza and Korca for the murder of Klodjan Rasha, 16 people have been placed under investigation. In Lezha 15 people were prosecuted for illegal organization, protests and property damage, as well as traffic blockage.
The event led to the resignation of the Minister of Interior, Sander Lleshaj.
