Countryman: Embargo, a consequence of Serbian actions
22/07/2011 11:55
The US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Thomas Countryman, declared
that the decision of the Kosovo government for blocking Serbian goods
from their country was a consequence of the previous trade
blockade that Serbia had imposed to Kosovo.
During an interview for the “Voice of America”, Countryman declared that
USA would prefer a legal approach by both countries to this issue.
Countryman declared that the postponement of the dialogue between Kosovo and
Serbia has to do with the embargo. The decision for canceling the talks
this week was a result of the Serbian government to remove the embargo on
Kosovo goods, and for this reason there were no chances for new talks
during this week.
