The Council for the Regulation, Mandates and Immunity gathered this
Monday afternoon to discuss the request handed over by the Democratic
Party for removing the immunity of the Socialist MP, Koco Kokedhima.

Kokedhima is accused by the opposition of having received budget funds for his companies after being elected MP.

“The state budget has issued 150 payments for Kokedhima”, declared the Democratic Party MP, Arben Ristani.

The lawyer of Kokedhima declared that the request is unfounded and without any evidence.

Kokedhima answered to journalists after leaving the premises of the Tirana University Hospital Center. He denied the accusations and used the occasion to mention once again his purpose for liberalizing cannabis.

“It is time to review our cannabis laws. We must think of a basic and general amnesty that would free many youngsters from crimes that have caused no harm to anyone except for themselves”, he added.
