The High Council of Justice gathered at 17:00 for an extraordinary
meeting about the case reported on Top Channel’s investigative program,
Fiks Fare, where the secretary, the chancelor, a judiciary police
officer, the prosecutor and the judge are all seen being involved in a
corruption affair.
The meeting was asked outside the High Council for Justice agenda, from the vice Chairman Elvis Cefa. In this meeting, HCJ members will be asked to vote the suspension of Shtjefen Lleshi, mentioned in Fiks Fare’s video for asking money in exchange of changing an arrest measure.
It is still unknown if the court will be present in the voting, which will be behind closed doors. This is under investigation by the Tirana Prosecution Task Force, which has seized the footage in which the corruptive affairs are seen.
