Coronavirus; Tirana without cars but people took to the streets, many unprotected

“Deshmoret e Kombit” boulevard was today empty of cars but not of people. For many citizens the call to stay home has not been considered.

And there was no absence of the elderly walking unperturbed along the boulevard, many of whom did not have protective measures for the epidemic.
The younger martyrs made use of the empty boulevard by riding their bicycles.

MP Ralf John is also one of those riding a bicycle.
“I was going to send some food to my mother,” he says making his excuse.

Two ladies have brought their dogs for a walk.
And while the Prime Minister’s office building is empty in face of the fearsome Covid-19, the citizens continue their laps even though we are in a situation when coronavirus has affected 51 Albanians.

There are also those who take photos on the steps of the government building.

Of the reduced staff at the prime minister’s office this Monday, only deputy prime minister Erion Brace was in office.

Meanwhile some foreigners have chosen to go on anyway with their tour in Tirana
