Through a daily press release, the Ministry of Health announced today (Saturday 05.09.2020) that during the last 24 hours, 6 people have lost their lives from Covid-19 and 135 new cases were identified.
Meanwhile 94 citizens have won the battle with the dangerous virus in the last 24 hours, the authorities added.
“The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 33 cases in Tirana, 29 in Elbasan, 13 in Lezha, 10 in Kruja, 7 in Lushnje, 4 cases in Durres, Kamza, Gjirokastra, 3 cases in Fier, Kurbin, Kavaja, Puka, Berat, Librazhd, from 2 cases in Vlora, Mirdita, Pogradec, Saranda, Kolonja, from 1 case in Shkodra, Rrogozhina, Gramsh “, said Dr. Marjeta Dervishi from the Institute of Public Health.
“The battle with the dangerous virus was lost by a 63-year-old former nurse from Tirana, who used to work in the Trauma Hospital and was suffering from accompanying illnesses.
“The battle with the disease was also lost by a 64-year-old man from Mati, a 71-year-old woman from Divjaka and 3 citizens from Tirana: a 77-year-old man; one 72-year-old woman and another 80-year-old woman. We express our condolences to the families.”
