The Albanian government has introduced a cooperation memorandum between
the ministries and law enforcing institutions, which aims to identify
tax evasion and smuggling.
Minister Tahiri said that the economic crimes cause huge damages, and those who violate the law will now be very carefully inspected.
Prosecutor General Adriatic Llalla warned there will be verifications on terrain and very serious punishments for those who violate the law. The Prosecutor underlined that they reached good results by bringing to justice those who stole energy.
He warned there will be severe violations of the tax officers who often become collaborators of tax evasion schemes.
PM Rama said that another sector the government is concerned about evasion, is the judiciary system.
