Construction works continue at Artificial Lake

The authorities had interrupted works at the artificial lake for the construction of 17-store buildings. The state inspectorate says that the government decisions have been violated.

The permit given by the Municipality is based on acts that have not entered in act. The National Inspectorate of Territory Protection declared that the decision of the municipality goes against the law for the territory planning, and that the decision was not followed by the construction plans.

Since the construction is 10 meters from the artificial lake dam, it is necessary for builders to receive a permit from the Commission of Dams, which is ran by the government. Although this commission has not confirmed the permit, the construction works are still on.

The opposition has not opposed this construction in the only green space of Tirana.
