The Constitutional Court has suspended the Vetting law and will address
the Venice Commission for an opinion before they come up with a final
decision.

This is the decision taken by nine judges, after reviewing the complaint filed by the Democratic Party.

The DP wanted the Vetting law to be declared as Anti-Constitutional, claiming that the judiciary institutions will be controlled by the government, but the Constitutional Court is asking the Venice Commission for an opinion.

The Vetting law passed on August 30th, with only the votes of the majority. The opposition left the floor and the law entered in effect silently, after the President did not reject it, but did not decree it.
