The Constitutional Court suspended the law for tax procedures, known as
the penalty law due to the strong measures against businesses.
The Court stopped the implementation of the draft that entered in effect on December 12th, until a final decision is taken for this issue.
This means that the tax violations will continue to be treated with the former tax law.
The Court Decision comes after a complaint of the Association for Protection of Merchants and Market.
The law was harsher to the extreme, with small businesses being fined ten times more for not declaring their workers.
The government had passed this law as part of their fight against informality. The draft was opposed by businesses and experts since the beginning.
