Concessions under surveillance

All concessions that have been given in the past year will be monitored
by the government, and the indicators of the concessionary companies
will decide their future.

During an inspection at the biggest port of our country, the Minister of Transports and Infrastructure, Edmond Haxhinasto, expressed the need for high indicators and more quality for the Durres Port services, so that it can respond to the high competition in the region and make this port more attractive for foreign and local businesses.

“For the future, we will serve as good as possible to these objectives. Preserving competition and the port services, by even assessing the agreements that have been given for these services, if it is necessary.

Our major interest is for having this one of the most qualitative ports in the region, that’s why we demand the understanding of the operators who manage it”, Haxhinasto declared.

After meeting with the port leaders, Minister Haxhinasto visited the passengers’ terminal and one of the Durres-Bari ferries, to see the conditions of their services.
