The government has allows the concession of public lighting for Tirana
and Durres, proposed by the Minister of Energy and opposed by the
Minister of Justice.
Minister Damian Gjiknuri is authorized to review the offer initiated privately by the Danish company, HeSaLight A/S, and which will be managed by the respective Municipalities.
This is the first time that the government passes a concession for which they had conflicts within their own allies. The Ministry of Justice said the project damages local autonomy and that the initiative is unclear.
