Competition for new DP leader

Now that the Democratic Party is in opposition, its headquarters is
having more movements. Some of those who enter and exit the building
have expectations for the replacement of Sali Berisha as leader of the
Democratic Party.

Some of the who want to compete are not happy with what is going on. Bujar Nallbani, who presented himself as candidate, was unhappy for the media which had given more space to another candidate.

“I’m not coming today with a suit and tie, as Mr.Biberaj, but it seems he can invite you right away. I think that it should be my turn, since I submitted my candidacy after Olldashi”, Nallbani declared.

Alexander Biberaj, who stood for 15 minutes in one of the Democratic Party offices, was not happy with the party leaders.

“It seems that the administration has been ordered to not accept my files. But I will send it through post and this is the only decision that they can make. I have the experience and support for leading the Democratic Party”, Biberaj declared.

Biberaj is one of the founders of the Democratic Party, and also of the New Democratic Spirit. But he doesn’t see NDS as a statutory obstacle for running as head of this party, while he is the leader of another party.

“I left the NDS and I never removed my membership from the Democratic Party”, he declared.

Another one aspiring that place is Erjon Nikolli, who didn’t appear in front of the cameras by just submitted his CV. Nikolli couldn’t say who was his strongest rival, Olldashi or Basha, but the other candidates were more open.

“Both Olldashi and Basha are strong competitors. Both our my colleagues and I value them as competitors”, Biberaj declared.

“Olldashi is the main favourite”, Nallbani declared.
