Albanian Technical Committee of Health Experts has decided today (May 27, 2021) to further ease the coronavirus restricting measures by prolonging the curfew to 23:00 from June 1, and removing the obligation of face masks outdoors.
“On June 1, the obligation to maintain a personal protective barrier outdoors will be removed but will remain in force indoors. From June 1 the curfew from 22:00 will switch to 23:00. From June 15, 50+ people will be allowed to gather outdoors.
“From July 1, if the situation continues to be in check, the police curfew will be pushed to 24:00”, said the deputy minister of Health, Mira Rakacolli adding that the pandemic situation in our country is under control. “The situation seems in controll manner and with good indicators.”
While the director of IPH, Albana Fico asked the citizens to continue to respect the rules. “The number of hospitalizations remains low. For several weeks the positivity of the samples has been declining, as vaccination has also been a help. It is continuing at a fast pace.
“The pandemic is not over, but it is important to maintain the mask, the distance and hygiene and not to forget that all the people who have signs should refer quickly to the family doctor”, said Fico.
