The economic growth in Albania faced a slowdown in the first trimester, due to the energy crisis and the closing of betting shops.
The Institution of Statistics declared that the GDP grew with only 2.21%, compared to the same period of one year ago.
INSTAT data show that the economic slowdown was mainly affected by the energy sector, which contributed negatively with 0.81% in economic growth.
The second factor, the closing of betting shops, has affected the total with 0.5%.
