Citizens join the Summer Day activities in Tirana among flowers, sweets and music

Summer Day was welcomed with a festive atmosphere in Tirana where the officials organized a series of fun activities, while the sunny weather made the citizens enjoy special moments.
The partecipants also anjoyed the traditional ‘ballokume’ cookies which have become synonimous with the event in recent years.
Meanwhile, a tank has been placed in the center of Skënderbej Square, on which colorful flowers have been painted.
The citizens became curious and came closer to see the tank up close, while they did not hesitate to take pictures. It was not clear the reason for the presence of military weapons at the summer festival.
Children are the ones who are enjoying the arrival of spring more, as the little ones have been roaming in the green areas playing with balls and balloons.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced through a post on the “X” social network that March 15 will be a day off for the state administration.
This decision of the Council of Ministers, says Rama, will give the state employees the opportunity to take one more day off between Summer Day and the weekend, i.e. Friday.
Even the General Directorate of Pre-University Education confirms that public and private schools will be closed.
