The Ministry of Energy and Industry has suspended the mining activity of the ACR company in Bulqize.
After a one month inspection to 39 subjects throughout Bulqize, including the main concessionary, ACR, it resulted that this company has not completed the investments as foreseen in the agreement, and has not followed the safety investments.
As result of this inspection, the Ministry of Energy and Industry has taken measures against 29 of 39 subjects. 18 permits have been suspended, 5 were completely revoked, 5 were partially revoked, together with a subject that guaranteed the explosives.
“The companies have the chance to correct their problems, or their licenses will be completely revoked and this will affect the entire situation in Bulqize”, Gjiknuri declared.
Referring to the Area D miners, who started a hunger strike in protest, Minister Gjiknuri declared that this is a rushed reaction, encouraged by those who have guaranteed no working conditions.
“Whoever uses illegal means to encourage workers in hunger strikes for pressuring the public authorities, will face the state that has the obligation to take criminal measures”, Gjiknuri declared.
