Authorities are continuing with inspections of chrome at the Bulqize
area, to check the quantity of the mining material that goes out of the
galleries and is transported to Durres.
Although there is a police action for checking the process, there are still attempts for transporting chrome without the respective documents.
After dozens of truck were blocked by the Lezhe Police, three other trailers have been blocked recently. One belongs to the Concessionary ACR company, one to the Turalb company, which works in the D area, and another one belongs to a company that operates in the same area.
These are the police data, which in the meantime has seized a huge size of chrome coming from a firm that had no documents at all.
Several police officers are working in Bulqize to fight the chrome smuggling. The Mirdite Police seized three trucks full of chrome this Wednesday morning.
Yesterday, more than 1000 tons of chrome were seized by a blitz operation by the Lezhe police.
The government will control all mining concessions in Bulqize. The Minister of Energy and Industry, Damian Gjiknury, issued an order last week which started this police operation.
