The chief inspector and a lower inspector of the Inspectorate of Territory Protection in Elbasan, were proclaimed today wanted by the police after they allegedly took bribes to not perform their duty assigned to them by the law, turning a blind eye to a case of construction without a permit.
According to the announcement of the local police, it is suspected that the chief inspector A.M, 38 years old, and the inspector B.Q, 50 years old, in April of this year took bribes to not perform their duty to take punitive measures against an object built without permission in the neighborhood “28 Nenetori”.
For both, the court of Elbasan has set the security measure of detention for the criminal offenses “abuse of office” and “passive corruption of persons exercising public functions”.
The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office, while intensive work continues for the capture the 2 former state officials, the authorities state.
