The General Chief of Police, Haki Cako, met with local Police Chiefs to
establish a task force that will investigate and seize criminal assets.

In this meeting he demanded maximal commitment for the fight against illegality and domestic violence.

According to Cako, the main duty of the police is to investigate criminal groups who organize drug traffic, and seize the assets they have created as result of this criminal activity, such as real estates, buildings, properties, cars, hotels, motels, and other possible investments.

“To realize this duty, it is necessary for every Directory to establish a Task Force that will lead operations that will seize assets deriving from criminal activities”, Cako said.

Domestic violence takes a special importance for the police, especially after the tragic case of a judge who was killed by her husband.

“Domestic violence, a crime that is being treated seriously by the police, needs even more attention. People with criminal tendencies must be kept under watch, despite the work overload that we have. This is a priority for us to contribute more”, Cako said.
