Chief of Enviromnent Inspectorate and 14 inspectors fired for corruption

The Chief Inspector of the Tirana Environment office, 8 forest inspectors and 6 environmental inspectors were all fired today for corruption and power abuse.
The Minister of Justice, Etilda Gjonaj, announced this week’s results of the Anti-Corruption Task Force, which she leads as National Coordinator against Corruption.
Gjonaj said that the investigations started after tips given by citizens on shqiperiaqeduam.al, the portal opened by the government for citizens to submit complaints.
Based on these reports, the Task Force has made investigations at the maternity hospital Koco Gliozheni and at the Public Health Inspectorate, where they have given several disciplinary measures.
