The Central Election Commission approved today the public funds that
will be distributed to political parties registered for the June 25th
elections. The two biggest parties will have the Lion’s share.
There are 65 million ALL in total, 95% of which will go to the parties that have more votes, and only 5% for the smaller parties.
The Socialist Party will receive 28 million ALL, and will be followed by the biggest opposition party in the country, the Democratic Party, which will receive 20.7 million ALL.
The Socialist Movement for Integration will receive 7.1 million, as the biggest party in the country. Fatmir Mediu’s Republican Party will come right after, with 2.1 million ALL. PJIU with 1.7 million and the New Democratic Spirit with 1.1 million.
The other parties receive 325.000 ALL, as decided by the Central Election Commission. The parties that don’t receive the limit of votes, 0.5% on a national scale, will have to return the money.
