Celebrations for Bayram

Thousands of Muslim devotees today prayed for the Bayram, after fasting
for 30 days during Ramadan. Their prayers were also for the construction
of the capital’s new mosque, which, according to them, would give
dignity to any Albanian Muslim believer.

The Muslims of Tirana have been praying for years on the boulevard. They asked the government that same as the Catholics and Orthodox, they can have their holy see for celebrations like this.

Trusting that this desire will be fulfilled, the devotees greeted each other by wishing peace and happiness in their families. The celebrations continued in their homes, with a family dinner where relatives or friends are invited to celebrate with the tarditional dishes.

Muslim devotees celebrated in all cities. The Fitr Bayram comes after the month of Ramadan, when the devotees fasted to be more dedicated to their devotion to God. Before this day, all believers share food and give their solidarity to the poor for this celebration.

All Muslims have gathered to mosques today, as in every year, to pray for the most important day of the Muslim celebrations.
