CEC without a final result

While everyone is expecting the Central Election Commission to certify
the June 23rd elections quickly, the highest election institution has
not approved any final table, one week after the process is over.

The approval for Kukes, Diber, Korce, Berat and Vlore was postponed for 48 hours.

The decision of the four members of the highest electoral institution came after the opposition’s legal representatives requested more time in the confrontation of the Kukes District, where the fourth mandate was given to the right wing with only a few votes more and followed by mistakes.

Being in this situation, the Central Election Commission postponed all the decisions for the other districts, a decision that was opposed by the Socialist Movement for Integration representative, Ilirian Muho.

The electoral code states that the final result of every district should be approved within 48 hours from the moment that the Central Election Commission receives the electoral materials.

Postponing this deadlines means violating the Electoral Code.
