CEC reviews the SMI complaint for the Vore municipality

The Central Election Commission (CEC) reviewed the request of the
Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) to invalidate the election
result in some polling stations of the Vore Municipality.

The legal representative of the Republican Party, Arjan Madhi, asked CEC to not review this complaint that, according to him, is not competence of this institution. But his request was rejected with the vote of seven CEC members who said that the review of the SMI complaint is still within the competences of the Commission.

The representative of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ylli Manjani, presented the arguments for invalidating the results of some voting centers in Vore. According to him, the elections in Vore were fair, there was participation, but there was a lack of the third standard, which is honesty.

“The elections in Vore were not honest because the mayor was not elected by the Vore citizens, but by some electoral outsiders”, Manjani declared.

The SMI complaint is being reviewed by the CEC.  The candidate of the right centered coalition has won with a razor sharp difference.
