The General Chief of Police, Haki Cako, met with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Klement Zguri.
They visited the Coordination Group that was established for managing the electoral process, under the State Police.
Zguri thanked the police for the work done so far, including today’s processes, which are about distributing the electoral materials, emphasizing the importance of these elections and the challenge that they bring to institutions.
“If other countries where I have been as an observer considered election days a celebration day, we are facing a challenge, due to the way how parties behave. “Specific individuals, candidates who guard only their interests. Let’s hope that we will make it together, because we are here for just one purpose”, Zguri said.
Cako guaranteed that the State Police would respect the duties tasked to them by law and would cooperate with the CEC, as the only institution that manages the electoral process.
