The Central Election Commission did not take any decision for the
mandates of MP Selami, Tahiri and Mayor Rroshi, but they asked for more
time and even for additional documents from the Prosecution.

The Central Election Commission wants copies of the verdicts the Prosecution wants their suspension for.

Rroshi’s lawyer, Theodhori Sollaku, said that regardless the decision given by CEC, the Prime Minister is the only one who can fire a Mayor.

“We have no document from Italy. We have made a request to the Prosecution seven months ago. The minimum is that they should provide a copy of the verdict”, Sollaku declared.

“Mayors can only be discharged by the Council of Ministers, and that decision can be verified by the Constitutional Court”, Sollaku said.
