Cani: We will remove the Reference price

“Our promise is that there will be no reference prices in the next year. However, we are open to review some of them even within this year, such as the cases in which you have claims and prove that those are abusive and far from the real price markets”, the Minister of Finances declared.

Besides the references, one of the concerns that have been raised harder from business, were the high level of informality and the cleaning of the tax administration from corrupted officials. This is one of the reasons for which the government admitted that there are difficulties.

“First you need to catch those who are corrupted and then act. But catching them is not that easy, because they are organized. You know, we caught some flagrant cases that were very evident and the people who committed them are free today. This is the reality. Fight against informality and corruption cannot be won within a few days or months, but it will take years and unfrotunately this is not good for Albania”, Cani declared.
