Candidates selected for Judge who will represent Albania at European Court of Human Rights

The Albanian Government sent names of three judges as candidates to the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. One of them will be
chosen to represent Albania at  the European Court of Human Rights.

The selected candidates are Aleksander Muskaj, Aurela Anastasi and Sokol Berberi.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will vote the candidates in question within April.

11 candidates applied in total for the selection phase. The Ad-Hoc commission established for this task chose the ones who fulfilled the criteria requested by the Strasbourg Court.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe refused the candidacies of Ina Rama, Gent Brahimi and Sokol Berberi, who was chosen the second time.
