Besides Sexual Education, which is not a new subject in high schools,
the Albanian students will also take online lectures about the danger of
early sexual intercourses or other behaviors, such as relations with
multiple partners.
This will be enabled through a 1-year-long campaign, supported by the UN in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Education.
Specialists of the public health say that an online application will be offered for free to the students who will be able to read the information even from the cell phones.
The Health Minsiter, Petrit Vasili, declared that the campaign will aim to prevent unwanted pregnancies, severe sexual infections and sexually transmitted diseases, such as HIV/AIDS.
According to the Albanian Health Ministry, only 4% of the Albanian males use protection during sex, while the age of the first time sex in young people has lowered.
