During his visit in New York, the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Geng Cakaj, met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and Special Envoy for Western Balkan, Matthew Palmer.
The internal political situation in Albania was in the focus of this meeting; the recent development in the region and cooperation between both countries through multi-lateral organizations.
“Regarding the internal situation in Albania, we underlined the need for comprehensive dialogue with the electoral reform, in full accordance with the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations. This is essential for improving the electoral system, and the democracy of Albania in general”, Minister Cakaj said on his Facebook post
