The demolition of illegal buildings will continue from Vlora to Butrint,
and the coastline development was one of the main issues discussed by
Prime Minister Edi Rama during a meeting in Saranda with local leaders.
“We have undertaken an action that will not stop. The cleaning of the Vlore coastline and creation of conditions for developing the the Mediterranean, and turning Vlore into a decent gate of the Mediterranean for Albania and the entire region, are only part of the operation. The operation will continue in Butrint. We will not occupy the sea and make business on it”, Rama declared.
Accompanied in this meeting by Ministers Eglantina Gjermeni and Bledi Cuci, the Prime Minister mentioned the funds foreseen for the local power in the budget of 2014.
“Despite of all problems, the budget is bigger than that of 2013 for municipalities and communes. Every municipality will have more unconditioned grants than in 2013. Every commune will have more than last year. It’s not that much, but it’s more than in 2013, which was an electoral year”, Rama declared.
