Members of the American Chamber of Commerce complained to the General Tax Director, Vasilika Vjero, that the VAT reimbursement process is not done within the 30-day period, caused by delays in all levels.
For the American Chamber of Commerce, the reimbursement process is also without transparency. It is unclear how the money is returned to businesses.
The General Tax Office, present at the meeting, started giving answers to their questions but behind closed doors.
