Business requests for new government

While the winning coalition of the June 23rd elections is planning a detailed plan for the first 300 days of the government, business people are looking for a clear strategy that can remove the crisis and repay the debts that the state owes to the private companies for their public works.

“The Rama government must sit and create a strategy for removing this crisis and for clarifying when due payments to private businesses will be paid”, declared the Head of the Chamber of Commerce, Nikolin Jaka.

According to him, the obligations that the state owes to private businesses reaches 220 million EUR.

“The debt has grown bigger. It could reach 220 million EUR only for the public wokrs and services, without mentioning the VAT compensation or other taxes that the government must return to businesses”, Jaka underlined.

Referring to the strong debates before the elections, Jaka says that businesses have been promised that the flat tax would not affect them.

“Rama gave a positive signal for not changing the flat tax for the enterprises in general, and this agreement comes also by the pact that Meta has signed with the Chamber of Commerce and the businsess associations two weeks before the elections. It was a pact after a detailed analyze of our requests that were accepted by Mr.Meta too, that will not change in fundamental things that serve to business”, Jaka declared.

Business proposed the establishing of the flat tax for those companies that profit from public assets and from giving products and services as a monopoly, such as privatizations and permits given by the government, which increase prices abusively.
