This was the focus of the meeting between the Greek President, Karolos
Papulias, with the Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, at the
Presidential Palace in Athens.
According to them, these relations are based on the respect and history of our people, who are considered as the oldest in the region.
The Greek President declared that he is a strong friend of Albania, which he has shown in all posts that he has had during his career in the Greek politics.
“I am very happy to welcome in Athens the Foreign Minister of a friend countru as Albania. Both countries have good and positive relations. I have worked hard for these relations to be good”, Papulias declared.
“Mr.President, I thank you for the warm welcome. Greece is a friend country with a huge history. I am very happy to be here and visit a friend country”, Bushati declared.
During the meeting, Mr.Papulias and Mr.Bushati agreed that this is time to see with positivity every matter that regard the mutual relations.
Bushati’s visit in Athens will continue with the Albanian community in Athens and Corinth. During Thursday he will meet with Prime Minister Andonis Samaras, and the Foreign Nminister, Evangjelos Venizelos, with whom he will discuss over a series of agreements between the two countries.
