Albania and Montenegro will be connected by other transportation methods, now also through the Shkoder Lake.
The Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, declared in Parliament that very soon there will be a multi-modal transportation line between Albania, Italy and Montenegro, through the Bari Port, the Shengjin Port and the Bar port in Montenegro.
“Thanks to a trilateral program between Albania, Montenegro and Italy, which is supported by the EU funds, we have a 7 million EUR project which will have two specific objectives: the first one, establishing a multimodal transportation line between the Port of Bari, Shengjin and Bar in Montenegro. There will also be a connection from Virpazar, Montenegro, to Zogaj, Shiroka.
The Minister said that this project will initially focus on the transportation of travellers, to ease the movement of citizens and foreign visitors.
