Burgaj meets Austrian homologue

The General Chief of State Police, Hysni Burgaj, met his Austrian
homologue, Herbert Andrel, who is visiting Tirana for exchanging
experiences.
By the end of the meeting, Burgaj answered to the media’s interest for the recent changes in the Vlore Police Department staff.
According to him, the changes have to do with the strengthening of the police structures in this city, but he did not exclude that the murder of Judge Konomi has affected these decisions.
Burgaj gave no details about the investigations or when this murder could be solved, but he underlined that they are working with intensity
“I thanked my homologue for the contribution of the Austrian Police in training, and I guarantee for the mutual trust that we have given to each other. This will influence with further successes for both police agencies”, Burgaj declared.
The General Chief of Austrian Police declared that the Austrian Police cooperates very well with the Albanian colleagues, but cooperation and common war against crime needs always deeper cooperation, hence, according to him, “we should strengthen our contacts”.
