Three months ago, a new tourist attraction was opened in Tirana.
Bunk’art, a 2700 square meter underground bunker built in the ‘70s, with
106 rooms, welcomes 150 visitors a day.

“We will keep opening new rooms. The newest one is in honor of the miners who have died for building them”, says Eva Haxhi, manager of Bunk’art.

The room of the former Dictator, Enver Hoxha; the former PM, Mehmet Shehu, and many others, put on display uniforms and weapons that are a living testimony of history during communism.

What was once the situation room of the political bureau, meets today history with culture, since the room is used for cultural activities.

“Last year we organized the first edition of the Banned Festival. This year we will organize the second edition, to give the idea of art that is stopped in time”, said manager Eva Haxhi.

“Bunk’art will be open for seven days a week, welcoming visitors who want to know more about the history and memory of Albania”.
