Boyko Borissov, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, is attending an official visit in Albania, where he was received by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The focus of this meeting was cooperation and support for Albania’s EU integration process.

In this conference, Rama thanked his counterpart for advocating Albania’s integration path.

“Our relation with Bulgaria is very positive. Borissov has been Albania’s advocate in the EU”, Rama said, adding that Bulgaria is giving a perfect example of cooperation with the EU.

Boyko Borissov said that Albania needs a specific date for starting the accession negotiations.

“Merkel says that Western Balkan is the most difficult issue to be resolved, but what matters is that it can be resolved. The better the region becomes, the higher are the chances for cooperation. Albania needs a date for starting the negotiations. We need to convince the skeptical states during June”, Borissov declared.

As regards the dangers from terrorism, Borissov gave the idea of establishing a coordination center for former ISIS members.
