After 12 years of legal battles, the case for the construction of a
building near the Economic Faculty seems to have finally come to an end.
The Tirana University Rector, Dhori Kule, declared that the recent decision of the Tirana court has repealed the decision that allows the construction of this building.
“After four years of trials and 40 court sessions, the Court has finally decided to repeal this decision”, Kule declared.
While the rectorate publishes the Tirana Court verdict, the construction company says that they are surprised by this decision and that the economic damage mounts up to 1 million EUR.
“We have appealed this decision. The damage mounts up to 1 million EUR. They are damaging a private property and free initiative. Our system is not based on these principles”, the builder says.
The Tirana University Rector has asked that this building company, which is actually building on a property inherited by their family, should be compensated by the state. He admits that their economic damage is large, but the ones to be blamed for this are the Albanian politicians and their arbitrary decisions.
