The Kosovo delegation, led by the Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri,
participated in the Brussels meeting for the issue of undoing the
illegal security structure in Northern Kosovo, the so-called “Civil
Defense”, according to the government of Kosovo.

“In this meeting we discussed about all decisions that need to be taken regarding a complete and effective dismantling of this illegal structure, based on the agreement that was reached, and which implies stopping this activity, closing the action locations and sending uniforms to their operatives according to the international rules”, the announcement says.

In this meeting there were discussions about the integration of Serbian individuals who want to be integrated in the Kosovo institutions. In this case, the Kosovo delegation expressed its readiness for the integration process of various government institutions, based on the law of Kosovo. The dismantling and integration must take place as soon as possible, and this will be a contribution for establishing the law, the order and stability in this part of Kosovo.

“With this process ends the presence of Serbian illegal structure, and together with the process for dismantling the illegal police structures, this will bring to an end the Serbian practice of interfering in Kosovo”, says the government declaration.

The government declared that the European Union reconfirmed their dedication for a full implementation of the Brussels agreement for normalization, whose main principle is not having Syria interfere with the internal works of Kosovo, and respecting the territorial sovereignty and integration of Kosovo.
