The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, stated in front of the
Republicans in Philadelphia, USA, that Britain and America will
reinforce their commitment in Kosovo and other countries whose security
is related to NATO.
“Britain is a leading member – alongside the United States – of the coalition working successfully to defeat Daesh; why we have agreed to send 800 troops to Estonia and Poland as part of NATO’s forward presence in eastern Europe; why we are increasing our troop contribution to NATO’s Resolute Support mission that defends the Afghan government from terrorism; and it is why we are reinforcing our commitment to peacekeeping operations in Kosovo, South Sudan and Somalia”, the British PM has said.
This promise comes in a period when the climate between Kosovo and Albania were heated by several issues, from a train full of nationalistic slogans, which Kosovo authorities stopped, and to a Serbian arrest order against former KLA commander, Ramush Haradinaj.
