The British Embassy in Tirana presented an information brochure for the
opportunities in business, trade and export with the markets of Albania,
Kosovo and Macedonia.

The news comes from “Shqip” newspaper.
This initiative shows the commitment of the British government for the
business development and for closer relations with Western Balkan
countries.

The British ambassador, Fiona McIlwham stated that the
three countries have the ambition to become EU members, which the Great
Britain supports.

She said that for attracting investors, it is
important to implement the EU standards, by improving the business
environment, by improving and easing the predictability of the
regulatory entities, by fighting corruption and improving transparency.

The
report of the EU Commission will analyze the achieved progress in the
next month, but a good meter for the success will be the increase of
British exports and the bilateral business with Albania.

The
project is a joint effort of the British embassies in Albania, Kosovo
and Macedonia, financed by the British Foreign Ministry.
